Took my 2012 Toyota Venza to dealership where i purchased vehicle to have cruise control checked. Does not hold speed on any grade of downward road slope, even what I would consider to be easy grades.

Dealership refused to even look at my vehicle. Said owners' manual has a disclaimer for Steep Downward Hills, which is a subjective judgement. They therefore will not even investigate any potential speed control issue on any degree of slope. Only warranty is for performance on flat grade road conditions.

Their warranties seem to have a back door option to let the dealership out of doing some types of work.

And I even bought the extended warranty to boot. Shame on me!

Your an ***.A dealership service department will never try to get out of doing warranty work! They still get paid by the manufacturer. Try a different dealer or learn how to use your cruise control.
